LBGLC JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM
Our professional work ethics working for the kids
"Introduction to Kids Golf Tournament Competition" is a relaxed, fun way to help kids develop their competetive skills on the golf course with others of the same playing ability. Our LBGLC Junior Golf Program will teach the kids honesty, integrity, responsibility, perseverance and confidence which will carry onto their adult lives. Our juniors will also be learning the important rules and etiquette associated with the game of golf and make some great friends in the process.
The LBGLC Junior Golf Program, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, was established for the purpose of providing today's youth with an opportunity to experience the game of golf and enjoy a competitive experience while playing in our tournaments at an affordable price.
The LBGLC Junior Golf Program is herewith searching for some sponsors that would like to assist our association in making it more affordable for our community kids to have a chance to enjoy the game of golf in a competitive atmosphere. The LBGLC Junior Golf Program has already accepted the assistance of our first major sponsor, Roger Dunn Golf Shop at the Learning Center and now our second sponsor Seismic Imaging Solutions Company has also joined our association. .
Coming up is our first regulation course golf tournament which the kids are anxiously awaiting. This tournament will be at the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, and is set up for Thursday, September 25, 2008. We are expecting upwards of sixteen players for this tournament.
Thirty Three (33) members have already received their PLGA handicap index cards and will soon be inputting their scores as they play golf in our tournaments or enjoying golf with their parents or friends. The kids competition among the kids will be more equitable with the age groups as they establish their handicap index. We also have signed up four (4) parents as regular members, as we will be having family member and child tournaments
We are herewith requesting anyone that may want to assist in contacting companies for any financial assistance and/or golf equipment for our kids. Their company logo will be displayed on our web site and we also welcome company advertisement banners to be displayed at the LBGLC in Long Beach with an agreement with the facilities.
